What Info Should You Put on a Pet Tag?

When it comes to pet tags, simplicity saves lives. Your pet’s ID tag should clearly display:

  • Pet’s name

  • Your phone number (mobile preferred)

  • Optional: Address, microchip info, medical needs (“Deaf,” “Needs Meds”)

We can engrave a lot of info on the back of each tag

Are Pet Tags Legally Required in Australia?

While pet tags aren't legally required in all areas, most Australian councils strongly recommend or require them as part of responsible pet ownership. Even microchipped pets benefit from a tag — it’s the fastest way for someone to contact you directly without a vet visit.

Check your local council regulations for specifics, but in general: tag = best practice.
